The customer stores containers without knowing when they will leave the port again. Due to a lack of space, the containers have to be stacked. It has often happened that containers with a short standing time have stood underneath containers with a long standing time, resulting in avoidable repositioning processes during collection.

A lot of information is available about each container. Our solution recognizes correlations between container information and standing times in order to be able to forecast the standing times of newly arriving containers. Furthermore, the solution predicts the type of collecting means of transport, as each means of transport has dedicated storage locations.
